Close-Up: Manifest

Ever since the disbandment of iconic 2000s Turkish girl group Hepsi, there’s been a noticeable gap in the local pop scene. Fans have longed for a new, powerful girl group to take the stage—and in 2025, Manifest stepped into that spotlight with confidence and flair.

Who Are Manifest?
Manifest is a six-member girl group that burst onto the Turkish music scene after winning the Big5 Türkiye competition in early 2025. The members—Sueda, Hilal, Lidya, Zeynep, Mina, and Esin—each bring their own unique background and flair to the group. Their debut single Zamansızdık quickly gained momentum, reaching 2 million views within just 10 days of release. On February 6, 2025, they performed their debut concert at JJ Arena in Istanbul, selling out the 3,500-capacity venue—an impressive feat for a brand-new act.

A New Wave: T-Pop?
What makes Manifest particularly exciting is their clear influence from K-Pop, which they blend skillfully with local musical identity. From tightly choreographed dance practice videos and coordinated fashion to their sleek stage presence, Manifest is bringing a polished and globally-minded vision to Turkish pop. Let’s call it T-Pop—a new era that embraces both visual storytelling and local flavor.

What Sets Them Apart
Manifest is not your average “pop idol” group. They use visual aesthetics as a means of personal and artistic expression. Each member is associated with a color that reflects their personality, from Sueda’s green for balance and natural energy to Mina’s fiery red, representing her stage charisma.

Beyond visuals, the group is also made up of women with diverse academic and dance backgrounds, which adds depth and creativity to their collective identity. They blend the sisterhood and sincerity once championed by Hepsi with a more disciplined and internationally-aware outlook.

Strong Social Media Presence
Manifest is also extremely active on social media—especially on TikTok—sharing behind-the-scenes dance rehearsals, casual moments, and group dynamics. Their PR strategy clearly targets Gen Z, and they’re doing it well. A loyal young fanbase is already forming, and with each new release, their audience grows.

Upcoming Debut Album
Manifest’s debut album, set to drop on June 13, will feature 10 tracks that together tell a story. The group previewed the album with a short film titled Bi Hayal İşte, released on May 9, which included visual teasers for several songs.

Tracklist:

  1. Intro
  2. Snap
  3. Manifest
  4. Zamansızdık
  5. KTS
  6. Yaşanacaksa
  7. Durma
  8. Outro
  9. Zehir
  10. Arıyo

From the album teasers, my early favorites are Snap, KTS, and Durma—they give a strong impression of what’s to come. The group is also releasing two more singles ahead of the album, on May 16 and May 30.

Manifestival: A Two-Day Event
To top it off, Manifest is organizing a two-day mega concert event titled Manifestival on June 28–29, to be held at Life Park in Istanbul. It’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious pop performances of the year.

Final Thoughts
Manifest has all the ingredients of a next-gen girl group: talent, vision, style, and strategy. They’re not just filling a void—they’re creating a whole new space in Turkish pop. If you haven’t listened to their songs yet, now’s the perfect time to dive in.

Have you heard Manifest before? What do you think of their sound and style? Let’s talk in the comments!
